Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope it is a good one.
I really love this video. Enjoy!

That is what I should say when people ask what happened here:
But really it was just a fall while frolicking outside. Who would of thought that frolicking was such risky business? As a result, I really think Adam should wear this permanently:
What do you think?

As always, I had a last minute moment of clarity as to what Adam should be for Halloween. Clark Kent, of course. Because he is our little super man.
Okay, so maybe he was more like a collision between Clark Kent and the move “Big”.
But either way you slice it, he sure was cute.

I have never been to Tahoe in the fall and I love it! Adam and I had a great time with family and relaxing. And aside from the unfortunate encounter of the fireplace ledge with Adam’s lower lip, all went well. Enjoy the pics!
Pumpkins in the Park
Last Saturday we took Adam to his inaugural pumpkin patch. And we didn’t just “go” to the pumpkin patch - we took the TRAIN to the pumpkin patch! I love taking the light rail. . . I feel so European. . . don’t ask me why, I just do. And, like icing on the cake, no one was throwing up in the train on the ride home like they were last time!
Adam got to throw pumpkins, pull up lawn flags, shake cones, climb on a hook and ladder fire truck and watch an oddly creepy marionette puppet production of Rumpelstiltskin. All in all it was a successful day.
Enjoy!
Hello Fall
I love fall. A lot. I love wanting to curl up under a blanket with some hot chocolate and a good book, bake something involving pumpkin and put on a scarf. Not to mention choose and assemble a fun Halloween costume, carve a pumpkin and roast pumpkin seeds. But now that Adam is around, the curling up under a blanket option isn’t as feasible. So, we go outside to play. One of my new favorites is watching Adam run back and forth over a bunch of leaves to hear them crackle under his feet. I still love fall.
I held a sleeping baby. . .
. . . in my arms at church today. And not just any sleeping baby (there are many adorable ones to choose from in our congregation), but my sleeping baby. That hasn’t happened in many, many moons. Church provides far too many smiling faces, singing voices, and metal chairs perfect for banging on to waste one’s time on sleep, we’ll have you know. But today was a little gift, wrapped in the perfect package of a sweaty, limp little body laying peacefully against my chest. A happy consequence of this was having a much happier little fella joining us for lunch and a good climb all over daddy. Enjoy. I know I sure did.

Does anyone else miss the magic?

We took him to watch airplanes,
run down hills,
and meet nice little old men.
I think he liked it.

Creative Outlets
I’ve been brainstorming things that I can try to do with Adam that are new and exciting and creative. One thing I hadn’t done yet was crayons. We busted them out a couple of weeks ago and this is what happened.
So, I guess I would have to deem it a success seeing as creativity was my goal.
P.S. Does anyone have any ideas on fun creative things to do with a 15 month old in a home that doesn’t have a yard to get messy in??
